Squamish, B.C – Squamish Chamber of Commerce members have elected four incumbents and four newcomers to the Board of Directors.
Eleven candidates were nominated for eight positions, with voting taking place online.
“I’d like to thank each of the candidates who put their name forward for election” said Board Chair, Christine Campbell. “I would also like to thank Denise Evans and Ian Davis for their many years of service on the Squamish Chamber Board,” she added.
“Congratulations to all new and returning directors. We are very pleased to have strong representation from across the business community. Squamish is fortunate to have such strong talent and energy at the table, and we look forward to a successful and productive 2017.”
The Squamish Chamber of Commerce is governed by an eleven member Board of Directors, all of whom are elected. Each member of the Board volunteers their expertise, time and knowledge. Board nominees must be members in good standing and nominated by at least three members. The 2017 Board of Directors:
A swearing-in ceremony will be conducted on December 8, officiated by Squamish Mayor Patricia Heintzman. Chamber of Commerce members are invited to attend the ceremony, which will take place at the Nest Restaurant in Brackendale, 5-7 p.m. Please visit www.squamishchamber.com for more details.
The Squamish Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the Squamish community by actively supporting business, economic growth and diversification.
