Squamish Chamber Hosts Provincial Election All Candidates Forum

Squamish Chamber of Commerce Media Release

For immediate release – April 12, 2017

Squamish, B.C. – The Squamish Chamber of Commerce welcomes the Squamish community to attend an All Candidates meeting for the Provincial Election candidates.

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce is hosting a public All Candidates meeting for the 2017 Provincial Election. The meeting will take place on April 25, 6.30pm– 9pm at the Eagle Eye Theatre, 38430 Buckley Avenue, Squamish. This free event is open to Chamber members and the public.

The meeting will provide Chamber members and the Squamish community with the opportunity to pose questions and hear the views of the provincial candidates. The candidates are (in alphabetical order): Tristan Galbraith (Independent), Dana Green (Green Party), Michelle Livaja (BC NDP) and Jordan Sturdy (BC Liberal Party).

To ensure that each candidate has sufficient time to answer each question, Chamber members and the public are invited to submit questions in advance to admin@squamishchamber.com by 1 pm on April 25, 2017. Questions may also be dropped off at the Squamish Chamber office at 102-38551 Loggers Lane (The Adventure Center). Written questions will also be accepted from the floor at the meeting.

The Squamish Chamber extends our thanks to the volunteer student group “I vote BC” from Quest University Canada, who will be assisting the Chamber with the event, including the provision of translators (Tagalog, Hindi and Arabic) and childcare. A limited number of on-site child minding services (aged 3+) are available. Please email admin@squamishchamber.com in advance to secure a spot.
