June is #BCBuyLocal Month- Shop Squamish

June marks BC Buy Local Week for the Squamish Community as the Squamish Chamber of Commerce has partnered with LOCO BC to promote and celebrate local businesses.

Why Local?

When you buy local, you help build a stronger communities. Local businesses buy from other businesses in the community — growers, makers, manufacturers, graphic designers, accountants, repair services and credit unions, just to name a few. So many Squamish businesses are committed to buying local and supporting a strong community — discover the stories of how Squamish businesses keep your community strong!

The B.C. Buy Local campaign encourages consumers to shift at least 1% of their spending — just $15 — to a local business, or a local grown or local made product. If all consumers make a 1% shift, it will create 3,100 jobs and sends $94M in wages to workers in B.C. Check out more reasons to buy local.

Let people know you’re local

Consumers want local. Over 60% of consumers say they look for local products and support local businesses. Let customers know you are a local business by displaying the pink ‘local owned’ badge (dot) in your window, website and products
