Squamish Community Forest, July 22, 2020

The Squamish Chamber offered support for the proposed Squamish Community Forest (SQCF).

“It is our understanding that the SQCF would bring many benefits, including greater local input to forest management decisions around recreation, watersheds, wildlife, viewscapes and timber harvest, as well as support for local economies and livelihoods. We are encouraged that SQCF planning and operations will follow sustainable forestry practices, reflecting the values and objectives of Squamish Nation and the District of Squamish communities.
